In the thick of it..

Well, most of you are in the middle of your high school season and the travel ball season is just around the corner. It is a good time to evaluate your season and skills set. Ask yourself these questions:

How am making my team better? Can I do more?
Do I challenge myself to be better every time I step on the field? If I don't, why not?
What are my strengths? Offensively? Defensively? Intangibles?
In what areas of my game do I need to get better at? Offensively? Defensively? Intangibles?
How can I use the next 2 months of high school to be a best to showcase my skills for colleges this summer?
What do I need to do to be prepared for travel season?
Have I made contact with colleges I am interested in?
Have I responded to colleges that are interested in me?

Also, it is a great time of year to watch softball at all levels. If you have a free weekend catch at Poly or maybe one of the local community colleges. If you are up for travel head to the bay area or LA and you will most likely like be able to see at game at any of the college levels. This can give you a good idea of the level play at each division

Hope everyone's high school season is going well! Good Luck!
